A lot of stuffs... but no place to keep it! We need basket! But if every basket cost us around 30-50 RM, it will not be an option to buy if you are concern about the budget. So what you want to do? Will you leave your stuffs unmanaged and let the house cluttered. Well, thats not an option also. So why don't we try to make it by our self...  This project is the best option for those who are budget concerned. Its cheap cheap cheap.... Even I can say almost NO COST on it. So, what are we waiting for???

Supplies:

- Paper (used or unused) or newspaper

- Stick 1 pcs

- Paper glue

- Cardboard, cut it in desire size

- Hot melt glue

- Gun glue

- Scissor or cutter

- Clothes pin

How to make it:

Step 1: Prepare the A4 Paper or newspaper. If you used A4 paper, cut it into 4 as many as you like depending on the size of the basket If you use newspaper you can cut it 5 cm for the width. 

Step 2: Use the stick to roll the paper, roll it until reach the end, and glue the edge of the paper.

Step 3: Keep continue to roll the paper as many as possible to create the basket.

Step 4: Cut the cardboard into desire size, as this will be the size of your basket. Cut two pieces with the same size, one will be as a base of your basket and the other one will be used to cover the paper above the base of the basket. 

Step 5: Arrange the rolled paper on the edge of the cardboard with the same distance and glue it with hot melt glue. Once it completely dry, place the other cardboard above of it to cover the paper. 

Step 6: Interlace each rolled paper on your desire pattern. Continue until finish and glue the edge  of the paper with hot melt glue.

Your basket is ready. It cost you almost nothing. Perfect! For improvement, you can get it to be painted. I painted mine with white color. You can add the handle as well. You can use wood or shoelaces or lace from shopping bag or anything that you like.

Looking for other idea for DIY Basket using Newspaper?

I created this small basket to keep my smaller stuffs in organise. To beautify your basket, you can add foam covered with fabric. I got the foam from Bunga Reben Shop in Jalan Tun Abdul Razak (TAR). 

What you need to do is to cut the foam base on the size of the basket and use adhesive spray or strong glue to cover the foam with the fabric. That easy and you get your basket more appealing.
