How to Make Homemade Pet Stains and Odors Remover

Hi, Remiza here! For those, who stop by here, might probably looking for alternative ways to clean odors and pet stains inside the house aside from getting stain remover which usually quite pricy. And you might probably a pet owner like me. 

I know, you might experienced your dogs create a lot of incidents inside your house even thought they already got the potty training. It still can be happened. If they just leave the stains on the floor, that will not be a very big issue. But what about leaving the stain on your furniture or carpet? Ohh nooo !! It might drive you crazy especially when your carpets, rugs or furnitures are light-coloured. You might also sometimes find out an old stain made by your dog, maybe in the corner of the house, or behind the furnitures. 




Recently I started to substitutes a lot of stuffs with homemade one. One of them is the stain remover. I knew this method earlier, but I did not attempt to try. I wish that I could start it earlier, so than I would have not to spend a lot to buy the stains and odors remover. 

If you are looking for hand made odors and stains remover, you might interested to try this simple project. It's very easy to make and cheap and you can find the supplies easily or even you might already have them in your pantry. Most important thing, it works just as well as the cleaner that I bought.


Supplies:

White Vinegar
Baking Soda
Spray Bottle
Hot Water

For the supplies, I already have local white vinegar and baking soda in my pantry, a spray bottle from Mr. DIY Store for around 2.50 RM. Some of you might hate the strange odor from vinegar, but believe me, you will only smell the scent of vinegar in the beginning and it does not take long time to dissipate. 

White Vinegar - Jalen Cuka Buatan 

Baking Soda / Natrium Bicarbonate - Kijang Natrium Bikarbonat
Spray Bottle

How to Do It:

Step 1: Firstly you need to mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with the hot water. 
Step 2: After it has completely dissolved, add 1 cup of white vinegar on it and mix it well. 
Step 3: Pour the ingredient into spray bottle.

Your Homemade Cleaner is Ready to be Used


This ingredient can be used for both odors and stains remover. 

For Odors Remover: Spray it on the air to clean the odors. If you don't have the baking soda, you still can make odor remover with white vinegar only. Pour the white vinegar and water into spray bottle and spray it on the air. 

For Stain Remover: After putting the ingredient to the spray bottle, spray the area that need to be cleaned. Let it sit for around 5-10 minutes. Use the damp cloth to rub the stain from the surface. Or you can also sprinkle the baking soda directly into the soiled area, and pour the white vinegar and water into it. Leave it for 5-10 minutes, then rub the soiled area with the cloth.
