Create Wall Art Using Spare or Broken Wall Clock

Have a spare clock? Or your clock suddenly out of work? Don't throw it! Lets try to make it useful. I love the idea that I like to reuse un-useful or broken things. Recently I got a new clock for my room to replace my old IKEA Clock. Thought not to trow it away, I wondered what kind of thing I could make with the old clock. I don't like simply to throw old stuffs out. Unless they are pretty bad and useless. So I came out with the idea to create wall art. If you like to know how I turned my IKEA clock into this simple yet stunning wall art, lets begin to see the tutorial below.

Create Wall Art Using Spare or Broken Wall Clock

Supplies:

Wall Clock. I used IKEA Rusch Wall Clock (White) which I got it for 3.90 RM only. Pretty pretty cheap stuff
Glue or Mod Podge
Foam Brush
Thick Paper / Canvas Paper
Glitter
Rope
Scissor
Hot melt glue

How to Do It:

Step 1: Dissamble part of IKEA clock, remove the front plastic cover, the paper, and the clock movement mechanism from it.

Step 2: Measure the diameter of the clock and create the same diameter on the paper that you want to place inside the clock.

Step 3: Put any image that you like. I put the deer wall art for my design. You can draw the image or get it from internet and transfer the image to your paper or canvas using carbon.

Step 4: Begin to cover the image with glue. Use the foam brush to spruce the glue to the paper.

Step 5: Sprinkle the glitter onto the glue area.

Step 6: After it completely dry, remove the access glitter. And put last layer of glue on the top of it.

Step 7: Cut the image with the same diameter with the clock.

Step 8: Put your image aside, and spray paint the clock with any color that you like. I used flat white color spray paint from Arrow brand which I got it from Mr. DIY store. Let it completely dry.

Step 9: Once it dry, place rope on the back side of it. Firstly, cut the rope into desired size and seal the end of the rope with a piece of fabric so it will look neat. You can use hot melt glue or strong glue.

Step 10: Use hot melt glue to stick the rope on the back side.

Step 11: Place your image and the front plastic cover. Doneee....

So don't trow your old or broken clock. At least you have a new wall art now and it turned quite good as well.
